Books to Change your Sex Life

There are books, and there are BOOKS! As a child, I loved to sit in the window letting the sunshine warm my back and escape to another life - one full of adventure. Back then I could fly through a book in a single day. And while I still love to read, these days there are lots of other demands on my time. So any books I recommend here need to be really worthy. Life changing! And these are!

Check out:

The Couples' Kama Sutra by Elizabeth McGrath

I've perused a LOT of different kama sutra and sexual position books and this one is my absolute favorite! The pictures are beautiful and show a variety of people - meaning this isn't all heterosexual and white. There's a really nice Part 1 covering basics like eye contact, embodiment, and breathwork. Part 2 covers different positions but they're broken down into categories like intimate, energetic, playful, etc. Each position includes a beautiful illustration, description and instructions. Very well done and highly recommended!

Anything by Mama Gena (aka Regina Thomashauer) but particularly Pussy: A Reclamation.

For women. Seriously, this should be required reading for every woman on the planet. You can live more powerfully and more fully than you imagine. This book explains why pleasure is not only your birthright, but your pathway to  female self-knowledge, creativity and freedom.

Sex At Dawn: How We Mate, Why We Stray, and What it Means for Modern Relationships by Christopher Ryan & Cacilda Jetha.

If you're looking to have your mind blown with a super interesting and scientifically-based book about sex, this is it! Note, this is NOT for the closed-minded. It details the evolution of monogamy and questions / debunks almost everything we thought we knew.

Charlotte Kasl's If the Buddha Married (or If the Buddha Dated).

There are so many little pearls of wisdom in this book. The bottom line? As Charlotte says, "A long-term relationship should be a vital, alive bond that brings pleasure." We are a living, breathing, changing experience.
